Our core business purpose is to improve the quality of the business owner's lives in the industries we serve (this is the reason our company exists, why we come to work everyday, and what guides us in our daily business decisions). Definition of Ideal
Our company name reflects who we are, Ideal. The dictionary says that Ideal means a standard of perfection or excellence; or, an ultimate aim of an endeavor, especially one of high or noble character. This is the core of who we are!
History of Ideal
Ideal was originally created in 1985 by John Herman (a successful OPE dealer) and Dennis Haefner (an established computer programmer and consultant). The two discovered that there was no available software designed for the OPE dealer. So they decided to team up and design Ideal!
Today Ideal is the leading provider of business management software in the OPE, Powersports, and Hearth & Home industries. With over 1000 installs Ideal is a proven system that will dramatically increase efficiency and profits.
Ideal 6.0 for Windows is Launched
In January 2005 Ideal 6.0 for Windows was released. The software uses a new database, the latest Windows technology and includes over 100 new features to help retailers manage all areas of their business including parts, service, sales, accounting and much more. The software is based off of Ideal's classic DOS version and is tailored specifically to the needs of the retailer primarily because it was based off of 20 years of feedback from thousands of retailers just like you!
